02 March, 2022

The management of XPLN continues to grow. With Roman Ignatov, the team is complemented by an experienced IT colleague, who will be responsible for the technological development of the Market Analytics Suite as Vice President Tech from now on.

Roman Ignatov started his career in the web sector at a young age and continuously expanded his skills there – especially in the areas of development and software architecture – and quickly assumed responsibility in the management of various companies. At the beginning of his career he gained several years of experience in the field of e-commerce at the shoptech company Magento. For the past 10 years, he has been responsible for technical development at Regiondo and Libify Technologies as CTO.

At Regiondo, a popular booking software for travel and leisure experiences, Roman Ignatov was instrumental in building their IT infrastructure, leading the development team, and aligning technical and business needs and interests. At Libify, a medical technology provider of home and mobile emergency call systems, his technical focus was in the area of service-oriented architecture (SOA) and microservices with a particularly high focus on requirement from the data protection area.

At XPLN, Roman Ignatov will primarily be responsible for technical development to further drive the expansion both on the product side and in terms of scaling our market analysis software. This includes the overall IT landscape, software architecture, development process and strategic technology decisions, as well as leading and further expanding our development team.

Commenting on joining XPLN, Roman Ignatov says:

“I am really looking forward to this exciting new challenge and I am sure that I will be able to contribute my skills and diverse experience to XPLN in a target-oriented way.”

What he is particularly looking forward to is “to develop a very strong technological product that solves the problems of big brands regarding market transparency in retail like no other provider”.
